This Wednesday, April 20, M6 re-broadcasts an episode of Nightmare in the kitchen. Is the Mylène, Mélanie and Séverine restaurant in Sénas still open?
Warning, deprogramming. This Wednesday, April 20, viewers will not find Top Chef nominees in prime time. Due to the debate between the two rounds between Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen, M6 has chosen to deprogram its culinary competition. OK? The channel re-broadcasts an episode of Cauchemar en cuisine. In January 2020, Philippe Etchebest had sailed for Le Bouches-du-Rhônes to support the twins Mylène and Mélanie, hired by his sister Séverine to head this restaurant. And if the adventure was sometimes complicated, their sisters managed to save their restaurant more than two years after the passage of the chef, which still exists in the city of Sénas. “Since my visit, the restaurant has almost doubled its turnover”assures Philippe Etchebest in Nightmare in the kitchen.
“Mylène and Mélanie have found their rhythm and change the menu regularly. Séverine only sticks to accounting. They are happier and more serene about the future of the restaurant”continued the leader. To save their business, which obviously suffered from the health emergency, the sisters redesigned the menu. Today La Durancette mainly offers homemade pizzas that seem to delight customers’ taste buds. “Eager to offer you quality, refined and gourmet dishes, we work with fresh, local and seasonal products. Some dishes may therefore not be on the menu on certain days and others may be added depending on the arrival of the moment and the wishes of the chefs. , we read on the site. Come and treat yourself and discover all the subtleties of our southern cuisine prepared with love! “
Nightmare in the kitchen: two episodes this Wednesday
If Mélanie takes care of the pizzas, the others do a more traditional cuisine. “Located in Sénas since July 2012, our traditional restaurant is now an essential place in the city”, congratulate the participants in Cauchemar en cuisine. And to add, about their kitchen: “Inspired by the terroir of the South, our home cooking is made with the heart and with strictly selected seasonal products. Let yourself be tempted by our fresh produce kitchens and our daily slate menus!” Spectators will then be able to rediscover their adventure starting at 9.05 pm on this Wednesday 20 April. Note that another Cauchemar en cuisine program, in a restaurant in Tarbes, will air in the second part of the evening.
