For several years Hippopotamus has gradually revisited the culture of the Steakhouse in its restaurants to “adapt it to the French way of life”. From this Wednesday, May 18th, it’s up to the Créteil Soleil restaurant to know this change and transform its concept. As part of this change, recruitments were made at the restaurant. The group explains: “While the restaurant market suffers from an unprecedented crisis, Hippopotamus continues to create jobs locally. In Créteil, no less than 10 hires were made, which demonstrates the attractiveness of the brand and the project ”.
What will Hippo fans discover in the dining room? “As for the dining room, Hippopotamus presents new furniture in a welcoming and eclectic atmosphere, allowing the establishment to keep its own as it is reborn: cowhide chairs, burnt wood sconces, walls covered in leather or bricks, chandeliers in wood inspired by cowbells. And everywhere, scattered around the restaurant, butcher hooks, designed or painted that recall the DNA of the brand: the pleasure of the carnivore! “. The completely renovated Créteil restaurant will have 140 seats and an 86-seat terrace.
The restaurant will be managed by Hanane Chouaraje, operational director since 2018, who began her career in catering with the Bertrand group (which owns Hippopotamus) in 2002. Today the restaurant chain has more than 110 establishments, more than half of which are franchises. The Hippopotamus brand does not intend to stop there as around twenty other openings or renovations of “French Steakhouse” brands are planned for 2022.
