Detachable masks are becoming more and more popular these days, thanks to beautistas on TikTok and Instagram (what a surprise!). But is it really necessary to spend money on expensive brands? Certainly not ! In today’s article, we’ll show you how to make your own homemade blackhead peel-off mask to regain your healthy look. Just do it !
On the nose, chin, forehead, sometimes on the cheeks, blackheads are a real nightmare! But luckily, there are inexpensive natural methods that can help you get rid of it. Plus, by making your own face mask at home, you have the privilege of choosing the perfect ingredients for your skin type. So you can be sure that dirt, dead skin cells and blackheads will be gently removed without any harm.
Blackhead mask recipe with egg white and lemon juice
Simple, yet effective, this gelatin-free homemade peel-off mask tightens skin pores thanks to egg white and eliminates blackheads thanks to the alpha-hydroxy acids contained in lemon. In addition, the fruit is rich in vitamin C which fights free radicals and promises a healthy and youthful appearance.
Here’s how to prepare it:
Mix 1 egg white with 1 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice. Then take a brush and apply the mixture on your face, avoiding the eye and lip area. Gently spread a tissue over the solution and dab a little more of the mask on top to hold it in place. After 25-30 minutes, slowly remove it starting from the forehead.
Milk-based peel-off mask
Here is another recipe for the peeling face mask. To prepare it, simply mix 1 tablespoon of raw milk with 1 tablespoon of unflavored gelatin. Microwave them for 5-20 seconds, then let the mask cool by stirring. Eventually you should have a thick, jelly-like consistency. It is now ready to be applied to the face. Let it dry for 10-15 minutes and gently peel it off.
Activated charcoal is a popular ingredient in acne-prone skin products. Yes, it really works, but if you have dry skin, you should avoid it. This recipe is best suited for people with oily skin.
Here are the ingredients:
- 1½ tablespoon of powdered activated carbon
- 2 teaspoons of agar-agar / seaweed
- 2-3 drops of tea tree oil
Preparation and use:
Put all the ingredients in a bowl with ½ cup of boiled water until a smooth, thick paste is formed. Then apply evenly on the face avoiding delicate areas, eyebrows and hairline. Let it dry for 20 minutes, then slowly peel off the mask upwards.
When it comes to skin care, the mask is never enough. If you want to remove all blackheads and impurities, you must first open the pores. Then cleanse your face thoroughly using make-up remover or micellar water, then take a warm shower to soften the skin or simply take a steam bath (over a saucepan full of boiling water).
Now it’s time for the homemade blackhead peel-off mask. Even though it is peelable, you need to wash your face with warm water after removing it. This will close the pores. If you leave them open, you can cause irritation and even infection.
Finally, you can apply a serum that is suitable for your skin (see method 7 skin). This step is optional. But don’t forget the moisturizer, as the cleansing mask can dehydrate the skin.
